ABOUT
WELCOME TO IDENTITY ON THE BORDERLINE.
The purpose of this blog is a place to record my journey through therapy.
I've chosen to do this online as a way to provide a resource that others can use to understand me, their loved ones and, hopefully, for those that are also diagnosed with BPD, a way to understand their condition through reading about my experiences.

DISCLAIMER
I am not a healthcare professional.
There are approximately 256 different combinations of the DSM criteria for Borderline Personality Disorder. You, or your loved one, may not suffer the same as me either. Please seek a trained professional to help.

THE NAME
One of the symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder is a " markedly and persistently unstable self-image or sense of self".

This is something I've struggled with for years and so is a key part of my experience with the condition. I, quite simply, don't know who I actually am.

My diagnosis has also caused me to need to discover who I am and, through therapy, learn about parts of myself I never knew.

WORK IN PROGRESS
As it's a blog and I am going through a very long therapy process, this site will very much be a work in progress.
I intend to update pages where I can with more understanding as I learn more and I will keep a constantly up to date page for any resources I find particularly helpful.
